The last few days have been a bit crazy when it comes to traveling and going about Northern England. Here are a few of the places that I have been:
---> This is a view of Scarborough from the top of a standing tower at Scarborough Castle. This view looks down onto the Sands (what they call the beach). It was a lovely little town, full of seagulls and sea air.
---> This is a nice view of the Yorkshire Dales, where I have been driving through the last few days!
---> This is where I went today actually! I visited a National Trust place called Binham Rocks, which butts up right against a gorgeous moor. It was a wonderful cloudy day, less touristy, and as much rock scrambling as you want. I ended up ripping the back of hippie trousers trying to climb onto a rock on the moor.
---> This is a view of the Bolton Abbey Estate. If you look down in the middle on the left side of the trial, there is a ruins of the Abbey. It was a beautiful walk along the River Wharfe.
---> This is an inside look at the York Minster. It is a massive cathedral in the York City Centre. It stands on top of what used to be part of a Roman Fortress and the oldest parts date back to the 1100s. It is amazing walking places that are easily 1000 years old! (Don't get me wrong, I've been to places much, much older!!)
